This year BluffCakes threw its very first Galentine's party! As a huge fan of Parks and Recreation (and all things Leslie Knope) I wanted to thank the friends and family who supported my baking venture these past months and spoil them with a party thrown in true Knope style, complete with waffles!
I decided this party was not only going to require some deliciously adorable baked goods, but a whole spread full of the most festive, yummy treats I could think up. I set out with a plan to bake a cake, several cupcake variations, two types of macarons, two types of sugar cookies, cake pops, and meringue cookies.
Of course, no true Galentine's party is complete without the waffle spread and since I decided to throw this shindig during 'brunch' hours I planned on a mimosa and rose bar. A brunch without mimosas is just blasphemy.
I topped off our itinerary with a little Valentine's themed game: Dirty Cupid, the Valentine's version of Dirty Santa. The gifts these girls came with were absolutely perfect! From a cultivated little basket of face masks, bath bombs, and prosecco to a set of books all about badass women.
Seeing the women that have ordered from me, shared, liked, and recommended BluffCakes really get to enjoy themselves made the nearly twelve hours of baking that went into our spread 100% worth it.
I can't wait to do this again next year!
